Things have been bonkers lately. Probably not just lately, but lately I’ve been on a road back to putting the Lord first place in my life. Yup, got a bit off track and focused on circumstances instead of the strong tower who keeps me steady. Maybe you’ve felt this way too.
It’s not complicated, following God, letting Him be first place. I complicate it. Humans can complicate everything!! So here’s what the Lord has been reminding me: Keep it simple, sweetie!! Abba desires my love and affection, yours too! That’s why He created us!! We live in such a fast paced world that around every corner we can be in the weeds, drifted off more than we’d like to be. Maybe it’s just me? The Lord has been reminding me to protect the sacred time with Him. All the other stuff will work out. I don’t NEED to participate in everything, I do need to participate waiting on Him, in His presence.
I wish to operate from the overflow of how God fills me, and for the last few years, that just hasn’t been the case! So back to keeping it simple! If I want to feel like I did at first love, I have to behave like I did, at first love! Simple and effective!! Allowing Him space to operate on my heart and my spirit so I can operate in His will, not mine!!
If you’re like me and need to get back to the first love fresh fire, I lift you up in prayer!! Be easy on yourself! Let the Lord work in those areas of your life and know that Jesus loves you!
